Questions before buying an 05

Well we are thinking of buying this 2005 v6 4x4 with 98,000 miles which are mostly highway and was wondering if there is anything i should look for..I know alot of cars have the "typical" problem areas so i thought id see if there is anything i should keep and eye out for on this one..I can pick it up for about $6500..Thanks in advance

This is getting somewhat repetitive haha and I feel like a broken record. Check the rear diff and look for leaks around the axle seal. Also drive it and listen for the whizzes, whirs, humms, groans, etc coming from the rear diff. Ask if the TSB has been done on the rear axle seal to keep it from leaking. That's the #1 issue w/ the 3rd gen explorers as far as I know.
