Is there any upgrade I can do to my radiator? Can I get a bigger one? Does it matter? Or will a regular replament work fine? I see some that say HD & are more expensive, but the pics look the same.

Probably has an extra row of vanes in it. More area to dissipate heat from. But remember the thermostat controls water flow to the radiator, so you will heat up to whatever the therm. is rated. If you aren't having problems and aren't doing a lot of towing, I'd say stick with a regular replacement and save the $$$/

On your 94, you have some options:

1. go with an OEM/Visteon 2-row radiator
2. go with an OEM/Visteon 3-row radiator (aka "Super Cooling" radiator)
3. go with another aftermarket rad such as a Griffin

I went with option 2, to replace my old rad which was beyond re-crimping.
You'll be set for all but the most extreme desert conditions with option 2.

Option 3, is expensive, ($400+ range) but some of those aftermarket radiators are excellent. All aluminum and so forth.

Of course, option 1 can be done for $120 if you install it yourself.

wile you are in there get new hoses and t-stat.
few extra bucks, for much more peace of mind

t-stat was done already along with the coolant temp sensor. Hoses I'm getting.
It gets very hot in South FL so the more cooling the better. Where can I get the 3 row from? Any recomendations? I'll install it myself. Done them before.

Thanks

Anyone know part numbers for the "Super Cooling" type?

I'm in the market for a new radiator and I'm definitely interested in Option 2. Where did you buy the Visteon 3-row radiator from, how much, and do you happen to know the part number? (not asking for much, am I?)

Thanks for your help, as always!

I think I bought it from Fordpartsnetwork. www.fordpartsnetwork.com

It's been about 2 years since I did that so I'm not sure about that. If you do buy an OEM/Visteon radiator, be careful with the drain plug. It's crappy plastic and will break easily if it's mishandled.
