11K miles? It's a steal.

111,000 miles its a steal even. It'll go for 100k more miles.

I concur :p The V8 you're looking at paired with the tranny in that 98' is virtually bulletproof... Go for it!

Welcome to the forums... I'm about a 1/2 hour south of you (Norwell, MA) and just hit 116k on my 97' 5.0, and still running strong ;)

ok cool! yeah i meant 111,000 miles not 11k whoops!
how bad are the v8s on gas?

A stocker V8 usually gets 16.5-17.8 :D

I drove from Boston to Worcester to my house yesterday and averaged just over 21 mpg which is amazing for me... but that was with the cruise set on 65. Usually cruising around 75-80ish it drops down to 17.5-18.5.

In Boston traffic however... oh boy :p I don't even think I make it to miles per gallon, its about 2 gallons per mile... :(

the V8's rock! I have 120k on mine and it is solid. However, I have never seen 17 or 18 mpg. More like 15mpg on a good day. Good luck.

Man I wish I could find a deal like that.
