SPORTCRAZIE.....are your problems fixed??

I wish he would call me back so I would know where to ship it :banghead:

No my problem wasn't fixed, But I sent Brian my computer and he is going to scan it for the correct code. He said my truck could have 7 different codes to try so instead I just mailed him the computer. I'll let you know what happens when I get it back.

So you are out of comish while this goes on??

Yeah I'm down for only a little while I sent it out Fed Ex Priority this morning at like 7:00am, And Brian said if he gets it by Fri. I'll have it on Sat. Which isn't bad at all, I mean I work right in town so that's cool. The only thing is I'm an officer at my local Fire Dept so I won't be making night calls for 2 days, Which isn't that bad I get to sleep alittle.:D :D :D :D

Well I have an 02 xsport and am getting the perf setting w/stock setting any day now. I'm getting a little squimish about my purchase. One that once seemed so solid.:(

I guess all I could say is cross your fingers and hope it all works out... I'll let you know what happens with my chip when I get it back from Brian.

I hope everything works out I really want this chip.:banghead:

It seems like there is a 100% success rate if you do send him your ECU ... so I'm quite sure when I get it back I should be good to do.

I just USPSed my ECU piggybacked with my chip overnight, with an Express mail slip and postage to return inside the package ;)
Can you say I am excited?

I'll tell you right now if I have to take my comp out I will be pissed. Never has anyone mentioned these type of problems in the early goings. This seemed simple and all anyone had to say were good things. We'll see.

the odds of that happening are pretty small, but you read about it on the boards because people have questions when these issues come up.

off, you will have to take the computer out to install the chip :)

I mean simply that I can't be without my vehicle.

honestly, I wouldn't even spend too much time worrying about it until you know if you have that problem. I've sold a few hundred chips to explorers this year, and the no-starts were less than 5% overall.

If there is a problem, there are some options we can excercise before it comes down to having to send us your EEC. I realize that's not possible for many people.

Brian

ton_e_montana the best thing you can do is take your explorer to a ford dealership, have them read the ECU code... that way the only possible problem left is your service port being disabled... and I believe you can re-enable your service port yourself if you can do some soldering.
Just a thought

nate and dino, both EECs had disabled service ports. I was able to activate both, and you should have your EECS soon. Nate's will be there tomorrow, and I will overnight Dino's tommorow so it will arrive monday. Dino's is the first 2001 EEC that I have ever seen with a disabled service port.

Thanks man! Did you figure out how the postal lady added the postage behind the sticker... ? I hope so, I bought it anyways!
Good to hear, I'll post my results tomorrow.
Thanks again brian!

I Didn't get them done in time for usps, so I got killed by fedex saturday delivery!

I have a scan of your EEC, but it doesn't look like it was reflashed. If you have any problems from here out with it I can burn a chip directly from your can, but time was limited this evening and it didn't seem necessary. Let me know tomorrow how it goes!

Brian

Awsome!
I'll keep you posted! You are the greatest!
Keep that stamps.com stamp for $17 something.. it will never expire.... ;)
