Quick Help, About to buy! ASAP

Got a 98 explorer looking at buying, eddie bauer edition, real nice, however it needs shocks. I don't know if these had air ride, if these were only for limited, or how I can find out. I'm buying it for 3000, but I want to know what I'd be prepared to spend for a set of shocks all around. Want something comfortable, mid-grade, nothing supersoft/hard. Please let me know asap! thanks!

you will have to crawl under and check for hoses running to the shocks,, to see if it is air ride or not,,
hmm, shocks,, depends on what you want,, they range from about 14 $ to 1400 $, each, i have monroes, cheap , and good ride,,

Thanks for the quick response, I sold my 99 regrettingly, and want to get another one. I think that i'm going to go through with it, I just wasn't sure if eddie bauers were standard with air ride or standard or if it was an additional opition? unfortunatly the truck is a few miles away and it's starting to get late so I can't look under my self. Do you know if it's standard or opitional for the eddies?

Average shocks will run you 200-500 for all 4 (or 5 if you have the extra)
