I searched, might not have searched hard enough or just didnt read something right. Just a quick question: When buying a new muffler does it matter location of inlet/outlet?

Buying a Flowmaster 40 Series, 2.25" In/Out, just need to know if it maters on location of in/out. Thanks guys.

Get that on there and will have to get rid of the magnaflow muffler it was to damn quiet.

if you are going to install it as cheap as possible then you want the muffler to be as long or shorter than your existing one, and you was inlets and outlets as close to your existing one as possible.

if a shop is doing a custom install, then they can probably work around anything.

i have a magnaflow on now with extended pipes, so my general thinking was get one same length... but i get a rattle every now and then with muffler i got now because its center in/out so i didnt know if i could use a FM muffler the same way. i want take it to a shop but thatll come when i get the new cat convt.
