Quick tire question.

I've got 235/75R15 on my 94 Exp right now. can I put on 235/85R15's with no issues. i understand my speedo might be a bit off, but it's some lightly used tires from a friend, and I need to replace the POS tires I have now before the snow flies!

it could work, but get ready for some trimming or a little tire rub i think. and yes, your speedo will get thrown off, which could throw off how your tranny shifts if you have an auto.

there will be no trimming required, those will be right around 30.5" tall, and 31's fit with no trimming

Okay so we know it'll fit height wise. Now I'm wondering about the tranny shift, as i do have auto.

Well, I don't know with that specific size, but I have an auto with 31's and the speedo is about 5mph off at over 65 (it's spot on under 50, 1-2 of between 50-65), but the tranny shifts smooth and normal, and at the same rpm range as when I had the stock 235/75 size....hope that's helpful.

it will shift fine, i put 32's on my 97 with no trans problems
