Quiet aftermarker muffler

The consensus is do whatever you feel comfortable doing. I personally hate custom work because it seems to never come out right. I also wanted stainless which there arent any custom shops around here that will bend stainless and if they do its expensive as hell. I guess if you do not get snow and heavy salted roads you can get away with a cheap system but i seemed to fail inspecation every year because of my exhaust rotting out in my mustang because i ski alot and am always on salted roads in the winter.

I've been thinking about this for a little while. Which companies make bolt-on cat-backs for the 5.0 X's? And who sells them?

Lou.

Gibson, Dynomax and Borla are the only ones that i came across that make direct factory bolt on systems for the 99 5.0L I do not know about other years because mine is a 99.

Borla's are hard to come by these days since i think they were discontinued and they were really expensive but high quality stainless steel.

Gibson is also another one and you have your choice of Stainless or Aluminized Steel. The stainless cost me like 50 bucks extra so it was worth it.

The Dynomax was the cheapest out of the bunch but it did not have a stainless option.

I ordered my Gibson at my local auto store. It cost me around $400. If you are order stuff online which i dont you can try www.summitracing.com . When i was looking for my Gibson they had it listed for $330 + shipping for the stainless one but the problem was they were backordered at the time and wouldnt have recieved it for another month and my local auto store got it to me in one week so i paid the extra money.
