well i seems to be have a tons of problem with my ex after installing the superlift 5.5" kit. well i opted to not buy the more expensive kit with the superrunner steering and the extended radius arms. i had the same kit with the drop down brackets on my 95 ranger 2wd with no problems the only diff is the ex is 4wd . the problem i am having is my ex has quite abit of bumpsteer i haved put a steering stablizer and that did help alot but i still have a lot of bumpsteer. is the only way to get rid of this. is to buy the superrunner steering kit i have not heard a lot of good things about this kit. so i did not want to spend the money if i dont have to. if anybody has got any info about what to do to fix this problem i would apreciate it

You can also install a dropped pitman arm. It won't solve the issue.. but it should help.. (It will give you bumpsteer as you would if you have a 1.5 to 2" lift)..

The dropped pitman arms are normally for 4" of lift

well mark i did add the drop pitman arm. so i guess there is no true fix to this?.

Did it drop it far enough to get the arms paralell again? I know it won't eliminate it all (thanks to the TTB front end).. but it should have helped a bunch...

If so.. I can only imagine how much bumpsteer you would have if you didn't have the dropped arm..

i dont like the super runner kit... i ran the Extreme drop pitman arm on my X with dual stabelizers and 35's and it was better than the supper runner kit... i think you might have done something wrong ... or maybe a tie rod or ball joint is bad? or you can do a SAS like me... and have no bump steer :D

i haved put a steering stablizer and that did help alot

hey what kind of stabilizer you running? I did my skyjacker 6 inch lift last weekend and I've got tons of bump steer

Ryan

i run a dual skyjacker stabelizer its the same one i had when i had my TTB

hows you bumpsteer or play in your steering wheel??

Hey guys well for myself I am running a single monroe take apart race shock. that is actually about 10 years old but it has been in storage. so it actually warks like new. Well i took care of most of my bumpsteer and bad handling with a new set of 33" tires.

Well Brad sounds like your EX is ready for the CRUSHER! See if you can get the 95' Ranger back... I think that is your only hope! Good Luck... P.S. I'm lookin' for anyone who can lend me some advice regarding me S.R.S. on my Ranger. I accidentally clipped the little yellow wire under the dash while I was hookin' up some monster cable to my defrost motor and now my airbag is deployed! I find it difficult to steer my truck with this big bag hangin' out of the steering wheel... Please help oh.. and B.T.W. I like Machos and Rubios... and moonlit walks on the beach!

Looks like that belongs in the whoops section :p and that really sucks

Hey thanks Gman for the info. Hows that BIG BLOCK 4.0
holding up. Your brothers is really ready for the crusher.

How exactly does a BIG BLOCK 4.0 work? Did you take a 4.0 and drill it 500" over? I'd love to know

G:confused:

WEll mazdagreg ummmmmmmmm i am not sure about that boring 500 over. sounds kinda complicated.:p

I agree

Yeah, i figured that once you start digin that much away, you tend to get into the water jackets and past them into the block again. You gotta watch that to make sure that you take out all traces of the water jackets, or you will have a compression leak into the cooling system. :p BE CAREFUL BRADKING!

Well Brad maybe you can help me with a problem I'm having with my Big Block 4.0L. I was mounting my new set of J.C. Whitney horns under the hood and I accidentally drilled a hole in the side of my A/C compressor. I tried patchin' it with a little dab of J.B. Weld but it doesn't seem to be holdin' up to the high pressure produced by my Big Block 4.0L A/C system... you see this unit has "super engine cooling"... an UPGRADE over stocker beaters! So anyway Brad if you can lend some assistance on that I then could use some help with my lift... I put on some SKYJACKERS up front but forgot the limiting straps... I went on a little cruise up this mountain trail one night and low and behold both of my springs came flying out of their "chicken baskets"... What really sucks is that on the passneger side the spring came up in such a way that it went thru my wheel well and smashed my Dixie Horns... Man if you could lend some assistance as to this little problem I would sure love it!!! I need help... and You the Man to give it to me! Also... what do you think of JVC stereo decks???? Just curious.... oh and Dodge Vans... man they kick ASS!

Hey Brad, never heard back from you? Did you ever figure out your bumpsteer? I heard of a guy in a similar situation that had the whole front end from ex come out from underneath him a while back. Bad luck I'm sure. Got Goldie?
