Raced a Dodge SS/T...

...And got my ass handed to me. I guess the tired, old OHV 4.0L can't keep up with the massive 5.9L V-8 of the Dodge. Oh well, I can still take on a Toyta Tercel!

not my old tercel...that thing smoked stangs and maros....no seriously.....2 gear scratch all the time...20 ft e brake burnouts....and 30 mpg..........it was great....

faster than my Xploder but not by too much

most racers are won/lost by driver skill/error not car

Yeah at the stop light I jumped on it first, and I got about 2 car lengths infront of the SS/T. Then all I hear is tires chrip real quick and this massive truck with one of the sweetest sounding exhaust notes fly bye. But my stereo system was louder and better than his!

I have a buddy who has the 5.9L in a 1500 pickup. Personally I think there is something wrong with it cause all it does is make a lot of noise without producing much in the way of quick forward motion. I was starting to wonder if all 5.9's were POS. Guess not.

MrSteve: I dunno how much gas costs where you live but that guy is probably kicking himself in the butt for buying that big V8 in the first place, I know out here in cali there are a lot of trucks with V8's for sale cause people are tired of gasing them up at over $2 a gallon.

mrsteve, do you have pics of your x with the billet grille?
i like the way they look on most cars, but want to see what it would look like on an early model X.
