I'm going to get some racing seats for my explorer and I was wonding how hard are they to put in? Is it as simple as unbolting the old and bolting on the new or are some specail parts needed?

No it probably wont bolt on - need some sort of bracketry/adapter.

Where is a good place to go and get an adpater? My friend is going to sell me his racing seats.

I don't know if you can remove your factory seats from the track, it wasn't an issue when I installed my "racing seats" but most aftermarket seat mfg's sell sliding track kits. That's probably the easiest way to mount them to the truck.

Not sure what brand, but for the price Corbeau is a little less in quality than the mastercraft or prp but at half the price or less, the way to go. My setup is still has the corvine bling with my choice of 5 points.

Search Gewwwwwgle.

Are they vechile specfic or can i just get any set?

Mastercraft I beilve are straight bolt in. They just use your exsisting track.;)

I remember having this conversation with one of there reps at a offroad show.

How do YOU know?

I've got a MasterCraft Baja RS sitting in my living room along side a '95 Ranger seat. The mounting holes are different front to back.

I think you guys should see if recaro(i think thats who made them) will produce more xp8 seats. That would look clean and be a nice upgrade. probably expensive though.
