I have a stock 95 Eddie Bauer. I have replaced the lower ball joints, front and rear rotors and pads. The vehicle still has a slight "clunking" noise in the front end when driving at any speed. The noise is very much like the noise made by a FWD vehicle when the CV joints begin to fail.
I have inspected the front end and dscovered that if someone rocks/bounces the vehicle I can hear and feel a noise that seems to be coming from the rack and pinion steering unit. I can feel it on both ends of the tie rods. The connection at the spindle is tight. There does not seem to be any play in the steering. Has anyone else had a similiar problem?
