I just replaced the rack on my 96 explorer, when turning the wheel the wheel starts to skip then starts shaking violently, the fluid is foamy when turning the
Wheel there is continuously air I tried to bled it out by vacuum, cracking the lines, every way possible. I saw that some people have hooked up the lines backwards, but I looked and the pressure is on the bottom and return on the top. There is also a sloshing noise coming from the rack. Any help will be appreciated

To remove the air and stop the vibrations, shaking you need t turn the steering from lock to lock a few times while moving at a crawl. Check the fluid level, and repeat 2 or 3 times.

Well I figured it out, the check valve went in sideways and I guess I didn't catch it when I put it in. It took FOREVER to bleed out the air like 40-50 turns. Finally got it straight and no more headache. So If someone is doing a rack be careful of check valve
