Now that I've got my roof rack mounted and ready, what type of lights should I get to mount up top. Should I stick with PIAA (I have 510's and 1100x's) or go with something else? Let me know.

If you already have the PIAA's mounted I would stick with them, jsut so that the look is continuous. Most people probably wouldn't notice, but you would and so would the people who's opinion you actually care about, namely us :D.

That's just my opinion. If you have the money stick with the PIAA's.

I run two sets of KC Daylighters on my Surco Safari rack.

Guaranteed to lead the pack, cuz nobody wants them in their rear view mirror! :)

How about 2 sets of PIAA Pro80XT's.
On my Explorer the outer 2 are fog and the inner 2 are driving lights

good call Ray! I now have all three kinds of 80 XT's on my roof, LOL (I know what a geek), the outer two are fogs, the inner two are pencil beams, and the center is driving. Found someone that needed to swap driving for pencils so I helped him out.

I've thought about the Pro 80's. THe light brackets are coming in tomorrow, so I need to start thinking about what to put up there.

Ona side note, I just saw an Excursion (lifted, etc...) that had a pre runner style bumper with four Hella HID driving lamps, the ones that run for about $550 each! Man they were awesome. Too much for me though.

One vote for others. I like KC Lites because they have this 18 or something years Warranty. I've had mine for 6 years and returned them. Within 2 weeks I got 2 new ones back.

what I have

I got the 4 daylighters on top also.. but I also have two more of them aiming backwards... HE HE HE.......Which ever one you go with. Just make sure that it looks good in your own eye. And I dont mean the light shining in it.(I know all the smart@ss' in here)

get some 150 watt sealed beam lights i got mine from jc whitney they come in chrome black and stainless steel and they offer replacement bulbs++

Made my decision.

Well, I've been mulling it over, and I've decided that when I get the front bumper from Cory, I'm going to move the PIAA 510's up top, and just get another pair to make four. Then I'll get a pair of 520 fogs for the bumper.

If your 510s are already fogs, I would the some 520 Ion Crystal driving lights (I have them). They are crazy bright and shine far far far ahed. If you already have fogs, I dont think you will need anymore. Why not shine some light on where you are driving?
