Radiator cap..thermostat

What pound pressure cap is stock for 91 explorer...mine is 13#..also what degree thermostat is correct.

13lb is correct for the stock setup (198 degree thermostat). 195 is close enough. The Beck/Arnley picture shows how the gasket fits around the thermostat.
If you want to run the motor a little cooler you can put in the 180 degree thermostat. It opens the passage to the radiator a little sooner, so your heater doesn't blow as hot of air, but '91's have been noted as having heads that crack, and keeping it a little cooler might help. This is what I'm running right now, and it works well (even in today's snow). I know it is only 18 degrees different, but I figure anything to help eek out a few more miles is worth it. I haven't tried the 170 degree one available from Beck/Arnley.

Be sure to put the little hole up.
