New water pump and radiator. Temp goes to almost H on gauge about 1/4" before. Did not do this before and approx 2 weeks after replacement of parts.
replaced thermostat with good stant and temp sender still does it.

Is there a filter in the radiator or oil filter cooler that could be clogged?

Pull out the thermostat and see what it does.

Pull out the thermostat and see what it does.

gets barely above cold, even at high speeds.

I tested the thermostat along with the old one in boiling water using a thermometer both are open at 200F.

So something else, is the fan clutch supposed to work at all speeds engine and MPH?

If it didn't get hot with the therm out then maybe for some reason the thermostat didn't open. I'd put the thermostat back in and try it again and see what happens. If something was clogged it would have still overheated.

You said the thermostat was new, right? Are you sure the cooling system was full?

It sounds like you could have a bunch of air in the cooling system. Search fro info on how to bleed it.

new thermostat, air bled out of it.

Any info on fan clutch??
