Have a hole in the radiator, but am having a problem removing the lower bolt on the passenger side. Should I remove the tranny cooler to help gain access to the bolt?

If I'm not mistaken, you can remove the lower shroud and gain access to it from underneath of the explorer. Good luck buddy!

Removing the bumper and header panel will give you access to all the bolts, but not direct access. Else, disconnecting the tranny lines (messier) is the most straight forward method.
