Well I started some body work and I am going to be replacing my radiator support. Anyone have any tips before I start?

Was the support damaged in an accident or is it bad due to old age? Where did you get a replacement part? It shouldn't be hard to replace.
I have to buy the part still. The old one is rusted out. Its not too bad for 27 years. I wasnt sure if anyone has ever replaced one and had any tips.

I have replaced hundreds if not more core supports.
Maybe half a dozen on that gen Ford Explorer.

Do you have access to a MIG welder? Air compressor?

Aside from a welder, you will need a drill and grinder also.
