radio acting strange

Lucky you! I drove 4 trips today and all 4 times the phone comes up now and the map is full screen again too! Unfortunately the radio station and presets change on every start. Some Sirius logos are still missing since May and never load. I can live with those but the phone thing and half map were getting soo annoying. The backgrounds and Nav preferences also resetting along with no memory for more than 3 faves or history annoys me too. Crossing my fingers it stays this way until the new software officially arrives. Also, I would never say that Sync 3 on this Explorer ever worked fine. It has always been slow and glitchy just got worse over time with this last update. My 2013 Sync 2 always worked better, still slow but at least reliable and not quirky. Same with the cameras on my 2010 and 2013 Lincolns never had a problem, ever!

It's got to suck. And Ford says some time next month for a new update. We will see I guess.

Cyanlabs seems to think Carplay users are particularly affected as there is a ton of logs created when you connect. I personally use Carplay just about every time I use the car, and even for me, it took about 5 months from the time I installed 22251 for the memory to fill up.

I never used AndroidAuto or Carplay and I have a slew of problems. I just have Sirius.

I've heard a new Sync update is in the works which will also feature a full-screen display of the reverse camera.

Full screen backup would be an improvement for sure.

LOL actually in the portrait mode it won't really be fullscreen. Right now we have 3 choices and have to select full or wide instead of the default 360.

Funny! My 2020 ST a few days ago started to heal itself miraculously! Sync 3 build 22251 was a disaster for me. But then didn't drive it for 10 days. Came back started her up and tried to pair a new phone and had issues for 2 days. Then on the 3rd day a miracle occurred and now Sync does all the important things including phone pairing, full Nav map, even radio presets often stay and usually stays on Sirius except one or two times. The FordPass started working again too! I hadn't seen the ST closing animation when you turn the car off for 3 months. The screen would stay on the last thing you used it for then go off when you locked the doors. The opening animation never went away though. I hope this isn't just a fluke and doesn't deteriorate over time again. Maybe it will hold out until the new software comes out in September.

Just got truck back from dealer. They replaces the Accessory Protocol Interface Module ( APIM). Took a few hours, after they received a new one from the factory.
The re-sets failed ( they held for a day or so) but Ford says the dealer must try them first. Keeping fingers crossed.

Idiots are replacing hardware to fix a software flaw.
