Radio Antenna

I have a 97' EB Explorer. I have the electric radio antenna and the motor still works but the antenna doesn't go down. Do I need a new part or did it some how jump off track? Iam not sure how to fix it or what parts I'll need. If someone out there has a tip or answer I really appriciant it. Thank a lot, Fran

most are not fixable after they quit going down my 96 vw golf had the same problem, i just left it up and pushed it down when i went through car washes etc. im too cheap to pay for new ones.
try a junk yard for an antenna from a similar year/model

i just got a replacement mast from the guys on ebay for like 18 bucks shipped i think ....my problem was it wouldnt go up only down and it didnt work for mine i guess the gears inside are worn...but the instructions will help you get your old one out pretty easily and then you can figure out what to do with it
