Radio comes on when vehicle is started

Is there a way to not have the radio always turn on when the vehicle is started? Radio is turned off, get in the car start it up and radio comes back on we Turn it Off and it comes back on as things boot up we have to turn it off “press the on/off” at least twice

not sure if I am explaining it well enough for anyone to understand

Welcome to the Forum Al.
Many members have had the opposite issue, it won't turn OFF. Obviously, if the radio was turned OFF before shutting down the vehicle, it should stay OFF when the vehicle is started. Have you tried doing a Master Reset? Not sure if that would help but just be aware that doing that will;
Completely erase all information stored in the system
(such as phonebook, call history, text messages and paired
devices) and return to factory default settings.
