For the past several months the radio will reset as if it has lost battery power. The clock will go to 12:00 and station presets are lost. It is an intermitent occurance; will happen driving down the road or just after startup, maybe just once every couple of days or once a week.

Had the battery tested at a shop and they said it was fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Check the harnessing and make sure all is secure. If it is, you might need to have the radio repaired or the harnessing replaced - check the fuse also. A couple days ago I'd told you to toss it, but thanks to other more experienced members in dealing with OEM stereos, you should have it repaired if necessary.

(Assuming you are dealing with an OEM) If you're dealing with an aftermarket, toss it (Jk)

Mine was doing exactly this, plus some other wierd electrical glitches...I replaced the battery cables, problem fixed.:us:

Thanks for the replies...I will check those cables for the problem.
