Radio stuck to dash bezel?

Well I'm kinda baffled here a bit I have a 1993 first gen with the non premium sound system and the radio is somehow stuck to the dash bezel I replaced the current radio only to find out it wouldn't switch to FM this is the stock radio BTW, isn't the radio supposed to be retained in the dash not by the bezel? I don't recall having this problem with getting one at the yard or with the one that was in the truck

maybe it couldve melted? ive had rubber edges melt anf fuse to other stuf before, and the radio generates lots of heat... usually theyre held in w clips or you can pull the whole bezel out (at least on gen2)

I doubt it melted I hope not anyway I haven't used that radio much since it only plays on AM
