Has any one had any experience with these shocks? I was planning to upgrade my 1998 XLT with Bilstiens (I had them on my old Tahoe and liked them) but found the Rancho RS9000 Adjustable Shocks to be an interesting idea. There is even an in-cab Dual Remote Control System available.

I do most of my driving on-road, and very little towing.

What do you guys think?

Tis what I run! I love em too! I don't have the in-cab controler since I go off-road so I can't tell you anything about it. I just love the ability to change how harsh or soft the ride can be.

I have them too and I like them but I would love to know what the settings are RYAN???????????? anyone have a list I got mine used and can't quite get them set right just guessing!

When I got both the sway bars hooked up I run em at 3 - 4 up front depending on what streets I am driving on, and 3 in the back. With no swaybars they are 4 in the back and 5 up front. Just play with them till you figure out what you like best. :)

I had them on my '91 w/o the remote control. I heard from owners with the remote control system that the lines leak very easily and can happen quite often.

But the shocks themselves are easily adjustable when you're ready to run trails or are on streets.

I usually have them on 3 in City and 1 for wheeling.

THEY ARE THE BEST THING EVER. I JUST FINSHED PUTTING MINE IN AND I COULNDT BE DANDIER. :chug:
BUT ON THE REAL THE PYROCRUISER RIDES WELL ON THE ROAD AS WELL AS THE LIGHT OFF ROADING THAT I DO. AS FAR AS THE SETTINGS GO FOR THOSE WHO ASKED THE FIRST ONE IS FOR HIGHWAYS; REALLY SOFT, SECOND IS FOR STREETS; MILD SOFT, AND THE THIRD IS FOR THOSE POT HOLES OR DOWNTOWN STREETS; MILD,
THE FOURTH ARE FOR LIGHT OFF ROAD AND THE FIFTH ARE FOR SEVERE ORR ROAD; THESE THINGS GET REALY STIFF. THE FIRST AND THE LAST SETTINGS ARE IN THE SAME POSOTION SO DEPENDING ON WHICH DIRECTION YOU TURN THE KNOB THATS WHAT YOUR RIDE IS LIKE.
I CAN DEFINITELY RECOMEND THESE.:mattmoon:

These sound real nice. I plan to get new shocks after doing a TT and shackel lift. Does anyone know if they will work with that 2" lift?

YOU CAN GET THEM AT SUMMITRACING.COM ANYWHERE FROM 69.99 TO 79.99. STYLINCONCEPTS.COM ALSO HAS THEM BUT I DONT KNOW FOR HOW MUCH.

If you can't get them in a local 4x4 shop, check out 4wheelparts they have a free shipping special.

I have the in cab air system for sale if you want it cheap. I think i paid 169 for it i will sell it to you for 50.00.

The only thing you will need to do is call Rancho and get new Air hoses and the pieces that go on the shocks. When i called they said i get get this stuff for free or very cheap. Everything works fine, i just didn't like it so i took it off the truck.

LEt me know. Send an e-mail to Commocozy@msn.com

Greg,

Get the 9000's, you won't be disappointed. Tried and true, I think they're the best average priced shock on the market (you can spend a ton on all kinds of trick shocks with remote reservoirs, billet construction, etc). My experience with the Bilsteins is that they're too stiff for my liking.

I've been running 9000's for quite a while, and am completely satisfied. I usually run mine on the 3 setting, seems to be a good combination of comfort and control.

I'd stay away from the remote control system, too much to go wrong and you don't really need it. It's real easy to adjust each shock manually. Once you find the setting that works for you, you really won't be adjusting them very much.

I don't know about this year, but in the past Rancho has run a sale on the 9000's in the springtime, but 3 get the 4th free. Check the ads, or call Rancho, to find out if they're going to offer the special this year.
