Ranger and Explorer Lifts

I noticed that on some of the featured explorers they were using Ranger lift kits. i was wondering since on my 97 explorer I cannot find a lift for can i use a kit from a 97 Ranger. If so are there any special concerns to consider or any Mods. I would have to do to the kit. I really need to get his truck up in the air with some big swampers on it so any help would be appreciated.

There are a couple different ways to "lift", use the search feature and you will see that just about everyone on the board has talked about it at one time or another. The two different kinds of lifts are "body" and "suspension" and you can decide which you want by how much you want to spend basically.

Also search for posts from Ray Lobato. His is a '97 Explorer with the modified Ranger kit.

Yep! IT CAN BE DONE. The only thing that has to be modified is the rear torsion bar brackett, the rest is all bolt on. There are quite a few threads on this subject which include pictures and all.
