Ranger dome light and cargo light stay on?

Is it possible that you might have tapped the wrong black/pink wire? That color code just happens to be used for both the cargo lights and the reverse lights but the two circuits are independent.

Doh! I had extra wires in the harness that I wasn't using that had bare ends - sure enough one of them was the dome/cargo light wire that shorted out on an unused one. Capped the ends and re-did my tape job and everything is back to normal. I will now give myself a good smack on the head, and go to work! Thanks for the help!
