I have a 94 2wd Ranger with the small v6. The last few days shortly after it warms up the engine light will come on. The themp guage will go to half way mark and stay that way. I'm also loosing a little antifreeze but do not see any leaks. Could this be the thermostat?

sounds liek a combination of things, the check engine light wont come on for a cooling system issue.... however losing coolant is usually a bad thing, and the fact that its getting warmer than usual isnt good either..... to me, it sounds liek a bad head gasket, as that could explain the heating up, losing coolant, and hte check engine light (because if the exhuast is contaminated with coolant, it might freak out the oxygen sensors and throw a code for the engine light)
