There was also a F-150 Explorer in the early 80's They are just like packages kinda like the Ranger Edge. They also used the ranger name on EB's

hmm? not sure i understand what do you mean by they used to throw the ranger name w/ the ebs',? Is there some pics somewhere of the older rangers,, if not it's fine, dont wanna make you fellas work to hard w/ these trivial questions,,

The best I can tell looking on Ebay is that it was trim package (lots of chrome) on 2WD f-100 models.

The old original paint jobs had ranger on the side of the bed. Some were metal like emblems and some looked like vinyl or painted. I do not know about the EBs

My dad had a 77, but it was a stripped model. Not a ranger.

they also had combo like ranger xlt lariet
these ranged from 67-90's they still have the lariet and the s-dutys I not up on much past the 80's I have several 67-79 ford full size trucks... the ranger and mazda was the same truck at first then in 90 was all mazda then back to rebadged rangers I have seen variuos 70's model courier with mazda motor and vice versa....
