ranger locking hubs on an explorer?

i found a set of mile marker locking hubs on craigslist for 75 bucks and it say 97 ranger. well i drive a 97 sport. i was wondering if i buy the auto to manual conversion kit would these hubs work? any info would be greatly appreciated. :rangergreen::exporange

No, you need 98/2000 ranger halfshafts, unibearings, seals, clips, and AVM hubs, 97 ranger is a different setup, use the search and put in AVM manual hubs, a few will pop up including mine ,
 












Just to clarify, Explorers changed to an IFS front axle in 1995, Rangers did not change until 1998.
 






That's good to know I had actually wonder that.
