Bronco II Hubs on an Explorer

A guy at work was getting ready to scrap a bronco II with manual hubs, so i got the hubs off of it real quick before he took it in

with they fit an explorer?

anyone with a spare explorer hub laying around can you count the splines for me?

nope

Bronco II = dana 28 front end
Explorer = Dand 35 front end

totally different spindles and hubs

UNLESS he has a 89-90 BII with a possible hybrid dana 28/35 but those are rare, almost all BII's had the D28

90 B2s did NOT have the hybrid, it was a full D35, hybrid appeared in 93 in 2.3 and 3.0 rangers only. But no unless it has a D35 the B2 hubs wll not work.

I saw a factory 90 BII with MAS 2.9L with a 7.5" rear and D35 up front...
then a year or so later I learned about the hybrid axle so I think it just stuck in my head that the 90 must have had the hybrid, but I am wrong

Ford did some weird stuff thats for sure

Sorry if I sound like a broken record, the hrybrid is one of the main RBV points of confustion, many people tried to convince me the 90 2.3 ranger I was getting my 4.10 D35 from was a hybrid so it's something I like to clear it up any time I can.
