- '99 Ranger XLT, 2.5, 2wd
Hi - new to the forum (and hope I'm in the right area!) and have just bought myself a '99 Ranger XLT (2 wd, standard cab, 2.5, with a 5 speed manual tanny). It has 102k on it and runs pretty well. No rust (even though it's an upstate NY area car). I'm the 3rd owner (per CarFax). I had the routine things done to it after I got it - oil, filter, air filter, changed the tranny fluid (never owned one that took auto trans fluid for a manual!), greased everything that had a fitting (front upper ball joints and u joints).
Anything I should be looking for from a maintenance standpoint on this truck? It doesn't burn oil (at least none that I can see - I put about 500 miles on it already and nothing - no change in the dipstick. I don't put lots of miles on every year - maybe 4-5k.
