ranger will not start

Hey guys, I have a 1994 Ranger when I try to start it up It clicks one time and does nonthing else. I though it was the battery but my headlights, horn, radio and instrument panel lights are working. I even tried to boost it to no avail. it just clicks. What could be the problem to cause it not to start?...THANKS :fire:

Welcome to this forum! It might be possible that your battery is not taking a charge, or your battery terminals are corroded.

Thanks for your reply, I checked the terminals and they are clean, and the battery is only 4 months old.

Have your battery charged, and load tested in the store where you originally purchased it. If they determine that it is bad, you should be able to get it exchanged for another one. What brand is it?

How old is the starter? AutoZone sells starters with a lifetime warranty. Thanks for letting us know that it was the starter.
