Wouldn't be surprised..HS football is king in Texas i.e. Varsity Blues (that's how it really is in the smaller towns here). Read Friday Night Lights a good Texas HS football book also hottest women in the world (Maxim).

had to read friday night lights for summer reading. and my friends name is Tj Cascio.. white boy runs a 40 in 4.38, 225 bench 21 times, 38 vertical, shuttle run like 4.25 or some insane crap our Malvern Prep halfback/defensive end.. 26 sacks 10 touchdowns

yeah I am from Odessa TX. Went to Odessa Permian ( where Friday Night Lights came from) And high school football is everything.
