sweet, I wonder how the Ravin's would sound on a 4.6?
I know sound clips never sound the same so how do you like it in real driving, like the sound and everything?

hmmm. I like Flowmaster but want something a little different, and Magnaflow is the top dog IMO, but Ravin sounds good too.

sounds good.. when u say custom y pipe? is that the ypipe from the duel in to a single in.. and u have a 2.5 single out?

damn that sounds good... how much did that run you?

oh come on, I know you can give it some more juice then that !

yeh is there anyway you could record it inside the truck at full throttle, I wanna hear that:D Darkfox just did that with his LEMoneer;) and posted the sound clip and vid.

Is dual 2.5 inch in, and single 3 inch out, to big of a muffler on my 5.0?

I need to get exhust on my 98 5.0, cause Im sick of being quiet, I have put exhust on everyone of my cars, I have ever owned, but it that to big, or just right?? Im looking for more low end torque and better gas mileage..

I wouldn't think so..I know two guys at my school with Flows, one runs dual 2.5" pipes and 3" tips, and the other runs dual 3" pipes and 3.5" tips.

If there was any loss of low end, it's not noticeable as both feel stronger than our stock 5.0 Mounty off the line and when flooring it.

Both sound bad ass, but the dual 3" pipes are definitley louder and agressive than the 2.5 incher's.

Also the Ex with 3" duals is a true dual setup with two flowmasters, the 2.5" dual Ex is just a dual in dual out muffler.

That is awesome--real sweet..can you help me out as to where to purchase it...was the rest of the exhaust all custom made or bent and then you added the muffers? and is a dual exhaust...thansk for the replies if any...I am so used to working on my Mustang and haven't had time to look for an awesome sound for the truck...again-very sweet.

I had it done at Discount Muffler in Crystal Lake, IL. The guy there was an awesome 60 year old red-neck that knew it all when it came to exhaust. The whole thing, from the cats back is custom made.

Cats, to a custom Y pipe to a single 2.5" in RaVin 33 Series muffler to a single 2.5" out to custom mandrel bent 2.5" pipes to the exit right behind the rear wheel - total = $250. Love it - although, if I had to do it over and could afford it, I'd have gone to a true dual exhaust setup and have them exit behind both of the rear wheels.

Good luck!

Ry.

Ry,
What kind of device did you use to record the sound clip? Where did you place the device?

Thanks,
Shane

Hey Shane - I used my Sony DSC-S75 Cybershot to record into an MPEG-2, and then I used CDex,
(dead links) to convert the MPEG-2 into an MP3.

Good luck!

Ry.
