I just added a Raven Z-class performance muffler to my Explorer. I did the research here and there, the general consensus was $ for $ the Ravin was as good as if not better than the Flowmaster. So I went w/ the Ravin am I'm not impressed. I was hoping for a nice throaty sound, but what I got was something that sounds like a Pinto w/ a hole in the exhaust. I'm thinking of adding a K&N FIPK type air intake, will this improve on the exhaust note?

short answer- no

i've never been a fan of anything but borla or magnaflow on v6s

Dude. Get the Flowmaster. It's the best.

Driving around today it seems to sound better. It's got the low rumble. Maybe just needed a little brake in, carbon build-up. Definetly a better sound than 24hrs ago.

The first time I put mine on, I went to a buddies house. He was out side and not looking in my direction. He told me he heard the sound and thought here comes a nice truck. I love mine! It has been on my truck for 3 years and no problems!
