I had my heart set on a Flowmaster unit for the past few weeks. I've always trusted Midas in the past, so I went to them and asked if they could order me a Force II catback system. The guy immediately shoves this Ravin booklet in my face and told me that I NEED this muffler instead. I asked if there as a catback system and he said they would be happy to build whatever I wanted. They specail ordered the Z-55 series, and a few days later I find myself writing this amazing testimonail! I got more power(around 10hp if I had to guess), I got the throaty sound that I wanted(but doesn't disturb conversation or music), and I got more then I expected for better gas mileage.

To elaborate on that last thing...My previous best on highway was 18.4, that was a very good day. I usually average around 17.5hwy/13.5city. On my fist trip with the new system I got 21.4mpg! And that was on a semi windy day, going 75-80, with my windows DOWN. Granted, I only went 150 miles, but I was terribly shocked! I was expecting 1, maybe 2 mpg increase, not 4! I'll be making another trip this weekend, around 300 miles. I'll make sure to post back as soon as I have the results!

Exactly how loud is it in the cabin? On the street? On the highway? You mentioned that it does not disturb music or conversation but, is there any kind of drone that would become a nuisance when traveling long distances?

Actually, it mellows out quite a bit as you get to the higher rpms of each gear. I have a 5spd manual and the i'm just under three grand on the interstate. I took a two hour trip with it and didn't notice it at all. Around town though, as was my goal, I it when people look at me when I drive by. You can go to goravin.com and listen to samples of different cars. This will give you a little feel of what I mean when I say it mellows.

Did you just get the muffler or the catback system w/the Ravin? If you got the catback did you go with 2-1/2" pipes? And if you don't mind, what did Midas charge you? I've been shopping around for new exhaust, don't want to install it myself and don't trust the "backwoods" shops, which leaves me paying overpriced labor for install so I'm just curious. Thanks.

how much did you pay for this exahust I also want to get the force 2 catback. I also see that midas is a distibuter of raven therefore of course he gonna get you to buy one! I am very intrested in the gas milaage with the prices so gall dang high! 1.73 here for reg!~

the muffler itself was $115, and i did go catback with just 2.25" pipes. with my little v6 i really didn't see any reason to go up to 2.5, other then to tell people i had 2.5" pipes! for my pipes all the way back, the brackets and labor it came out to about $260. i really didn't think that was too much considering i don't know how to weld, and they had to custom bend the pipes for my navajo.

yes, midas is a distributer of ravin. but upon reviewing promo materials the ravin 'claimed' to increase torque and HP more then flowmaster and borla. since i have no personal experience with either of those two systems, i can say if that is correct. i can say that i am still very happy with the sound, the gas mileage and the hp increase. i'll be adding a kkm tru-rev air induction kit next week and that should increase mpg, hp and the loudness of my exhaust.

i just got back from a 300 mile trip and i will fill up tomorrow and report back my gas mileage. i did a little off-roading and some city driving so i don't expect it to be 21 this time:)

Good to see another guy from Nebraska. I might have to go to midas and check out the ravin exhaust. I have Borla right now but I'm about ready to rip it out and do a duel outlet flowmaster stright out the passenger side.
