Nevermind. Figured it out

Pretty useless unless you are parked, lol

Not to mention they got deleted from the later models.

You know I was wondering about that...noticed the 15 explorers I have been researching don't have them. They have the normal Aux Audio input instead.

I bought the RCA cable for the iPhone and used it on my 2013 and it worked well.

Electrical Team guys told me the marketing focus group feedback was nobody used them so they decided to delete them starting in 14MY.

I disagreed and still can't understand the need for 3.5mm audio only jack......who uses that?

I believe they were removed in the 2014 Explorer but my 2014 MKT still has them.

in my '12 Limited I have an iPod Touch loaded with movies and use a charging/RCA cable. The audio is fed up front out of sight and the video is run to one of the headrest monitors. The iPod Touch stays charged and the sound is much better than the FM transmitter.
