Need some real world MPG numbers. I'm also considering the new Chevy Tahoe, but I've heard that they're barely getting 13-15mpg. I don't expect miracles with big rigs, but I live in rural WA state and do mainly highway driving. I'd like to at least get in the upper teens.

How are you expy's doing; particularly the V8's?

When it was stock i was getting around 13 in the city and 18-20 on the highway. After the mods my mileage went up to around 14-15 city and 21+ cruising on the highway. These are measured numbers. Not just relying on the info the computer gives me. I'm running on 93 octane with the 93 performance tune by my XCalibrator 2. I also have the KKM intake & Magnaflow exhaust.

Around town - 13-15 - worst was 9 when it was below 0 for a whole week
Hwy - 18-21. Best was 23, worst was 15 on the way to N Wisc, temp -20

For me normally with mixed ... 16.5 - 21 MPG with the V8 4x4
24k miles

Around 13 in town, 16 mixed, and 21 - 22 on the freeway at 75 mph.

V-6 4X4 mixed city/hwy winter driving 16 - 18 MPG.

Summer driving mixed city/hwy: 20 MPG.

v8 4x4 getting about 13.5 in crappy Houston traffic. I got 12.5 MPG towing a Mustang GT on a 2 axle car trailer at 80MPH. My GF is getting about 18 MPG now that I haven't driven it in awhile, with a 10 mile commute of which 7 is highway and 3 is terrible local roads with a ton of lights.

06 v6, only 16 mpg in mixed traffic. my 01 sport trac gets 18+,

my wife gets around 16-18 mixed driving...but my grandfather just got a new tahoe last week and it's very nice as well....it'd be a tough call for me between the two

Poor. I have v8. 4.5k miles on the car. The dealer says it will get better.
Just drove 190 miles. Mostly highway...150 miles. 20 miles lower speed, no stopping. and the other 20 is suburban. 14mpg.

Around town, mixture of highway and suburban....typically 13.5.

btw, i get pretty close to epa on my 2005 mustang. Can't understand the discrepancy.

07 V6 4x2, I get about 16 - 18mpg mixed driving.

I have an used 06 Ltd 4X4 with the 4.6 (27K), city driving about 13 mpg, strictly highway about 20 mpg (70-75mph) to 24 mpg (60-65 mph) mixed about 15 mpg. Towing a 8000lb double axle trailer at 55mph is 14 mpg and at 60 mph 9 mpg :-( I would post pics of but don't know how.

Not a 4th gen, but close enough...

11-18 MPG on E-85. Never burned gasoline in it.

EPA rates it at 15/20 on gas though.

XLT 4x4 V8, XCAL2 tuned to 87 performance and KKM intake, city 13 mpg, mixed-15 in san diego (lots of hills and stop and go), freeway with cruise set at 65-23mpg, at 80-17mpg

'06 v6 4x4 29,000 miles. Just got back from a 3K trip. Averaged 20.5mpg overall hand calculated. Dash display is generous and shows 1mpg better than actual.

average of 16-18 city. 20-23 hwy. 7000 miles '07 XLT V6

'06 4x4 V6 7,000 miles: 18-20 mixed driving, 20-23 highway.

'06 4x4 V6 7,000 miles: 18-20 mixed driving, 20-23 highway.

That's great mileage. From what I've read, the 3L V6 Escape does about the same, and its a lot smaller.
