Hi guys,
aint been on awhile. need some !help! though....

Decided I wanted AC.... replaced dryer, orifice, O rings (done been in twice on leaks, since then.. never passed an evacuation... grrrrr)

So anyway, things were looking up (I thought).
(never mind the few other hiccups)

Compressor gets no power. I bypassed the low pressure switch to prove it out, still no compressor power...

This is a '92 BTW.

The indicator light on the heat/AC panel shows lit when I press the combo fan speed knob/AC on button. Fuses are good. Yes I turned the fan on "high". heh.

You folks thinkin' I need to replace that fan on/AC on the combo switch/knob?

THANKS!

Do you have 12v at the low pressure switch? IF not (you probably don't) work you way backwards. My guess is the relay that turns on the a/c is bad. IIRC its the one on the passenger side of the firewall, near the a/c box (I think it was hanging on the a/c box from the factory).

You may also want to verify the a/c clutch is good. Put 12v to one connector and ground the other one on the a/c connector at the compressor. IF it engages then the clutch is good. You can do this with the truck off. It should click when you do it if it is working.

Thanks Maniak.

I found my manual. (silly thing)

It seemed the circuit wanted to work as it would increase the idle when energizing the AC while LPS was bypassed.

I noticed this "WOT A/C Switch" in the circuit... chased it down (under the fuse panel by the battery), and it was.... MISSING!

Going to rob a parts truck...

Maniak ya had me right in that area under the hood bro, thanks again.

(Will update how this goes in a bit)

well. got the stupid 134a adapters sealed (poor quality black o-rings), etc..

Electrical works! Yeay!

Condenser is bad (leaks). Here we go again. :(

thanks for help!
