2013 Ford Explorer Rear brake hose. I had to replace the caliper because the rubber boot was disintegrated. Thought it would be a good idea to replace the brake hose while I'm at it since the ends were pretty rusted. I cannot get the compression fitting, from the metal line, to screw in!! Is there a secret to getting this compression fitting started? Thanks

I got it on... I guess it just needed some different curse words.

Good to hear you got it fixed.
I've done those in the past, it's either alignment or pushing the nut far enough in to get started that causes issues.

Thanks... I think the first couple of threads may have been damaged also. Constant pressure while turning finally got it to take hold.

Just did this job yesterday and had the same issue with the compression fitting starting. I got it as well however I am seeing seepage at that fitting, I also may have damaged the first few threads......thoughts on how to stop this leaking?
