The steel section of the front brake hoses on my 02 are getting heavily corroded, so I purchased new hoses made by Wagner. Though the end that attaches to the brake line matched exactly, the steel end that attaches to the banjo fitting was a completely different shape. The existing steel end curved down and around the bottom of the caliper with the banjo facing up, the new hose appeared to be designed so that the steel segment pointed down from the top of the caliper, banjo hanging down. All pics on an internet search for the parts appear to be in this configuration - can anyone confirm that this was an intended design change? This configuration appears to be inherently weaker than the original. Thanks very much in advance!
