I'm having a problem with my rear brake lights staying on, and I believe it's draining my battery. I suspect the brake light switch my be the culprit. I heard you can spray it down with WD-40 and it my work. my question is, where exactly should I try to lube it at? I'm kinda a big guy so it's hard for me to get under there and see how exactly this thing is operating. It appears the the switch moves up and down with the pedal, but I really cant tell. Any info would be helpful. Thanks

It's possible that the switch is either shorted or misaligned. Push the driver's seat back, and take a look at the switch with a flashlight. You don't have to go completely under the dashboard to see it.

mine did that once, all I did was tap the brakes. Hasn't happened since (knock on wood)
