So my 2" bl is done, but the bumpers are yet to be moved up. For the front, I'm ordering the brackets. My question is about the rear. The brackets that people have made mount to the frame and to the bumper brackets. I have a trailer hitch, so I feel like this would get tricky. So I'm wondering if anyone has made lift brackets that attach to the bumper and the brackets (rather than the frame and the brackets)? I don't think I want to move the hitch, so I'm hopeing someone has done something similar who will share their knowledge with me.

any takers?

Hey, I have some pictures@work that i can email to you. I am picking mine up from a metal shop tomorrow. try and do a search on "bumper brackets" and see what you get. There are 2 different brackets, one for the front, and onw for the rear. Let me know what you come up with!!

Well the front is no problem, I just ordered the brackets from the PA 883 kit. The back is where I have a question... I've done some searches, but I haven't found the answer to my question, or I don't think I have anyway. I just wonder what to do with the brush guard...

I have a hitch and a 3" body lift.... when i relocated my bumped i just took the brackets that came with the ranger body lift and flattened them out, drilled some new holes and rigged it up.. the bumped looks good and my hitch never got in the way.... if you need any help just let me know

Did they attach at the same places where the hitch did, or on the bumper itself?

my hitch bolts from the bottom of the frame up and from the 5/8" hole on the side...... when i raised the bumper i just used a this piece of steel and drilled 2 sets of wholes on it..... one of the sets os to bolt to the frame and the other is 3 inches higher to bolt on the bumper bracket which holds the bumped up.......... but i dont know if your hitch bolts on the same way or not sooo just let me know if you need some more help

My hitch mounts on to the outside of the frame rails, on top of the bumper brackets...

I have a 3 inch preformance accessories body lift and a 1999 alumacraft 17 foot boat that I use all the time and I also hate the way the hitch looks under the bumper so here is what I did. If you look at your rear bumper the frame goes inside of it ( 1rst gen. not sure about the 2nd ) you have to cut a notch in the rear frame to slide the bumper itself into. Then I got some half inch metal plates. I used the preformnce accessories brackets as a template and just made really strong brackets. Then I went and bought a step bumper box hitch with a drop down bracket and it works great and I can still pull stuff off of my bumper without that huge hitch hanging down three inches in the back, plus now I have room for that future duel exhaust.

Jason, do you have any pictures of that?
