Rear compartment protection

Has anyone made a protection "system" for the rear compartment. I am contemplating using diamond plate aluminum to cover the wheel wells. the floor as well as the liftgate.

Any suggestions?

I am doing this to prevent damage from shifting cargo.

why not just get one of those custom heavy duty cargo liners from performance products? like $200? im seriously thinking about one of those later this summer.

Arn't those just a fancy floor mat with raised sides?

I need "protection" from moving objects such as scuba tanks.
