rear diff gear ratios

this may be a stupid question, busy swopping out my a4ld to a m5od was wondering are the rear diff ratios the same for the manual and automatics

ya, rear end ratio has nothing to do with your tranny.

If you mean is the final drive ratio (when in OD) the same when you switch from the a4ld to the m50d? If so, the answer is no, but its very close

the m50d overdrive ratio is .79
the a4ld overdrive ratio is .75
