Went to do the oil seal/bearing replacement but I cant get the rear plug opened. I used a 3/8 drive, tried a 3/8 breaker bar...just wont budge. Since its close to the fuel tank, I dont want to apply heat with a pencil torch But I guess I could. I dont want to deform the socket hole in the plug much more. The breaker bar and wrnches still get a good grip on it. I have also tried wd 40 and penetrating oil. No luck.

Thoughts?:rolleyes::salute:

Techie....thanks for the reply. I was using the breaker bar and socket drive that fits very very snugly in the fill plug. But I think your right. It was probably 1/2 vs the 3/8. Either way...the plug is not budging....

a little heat on the cast iron around the circumference of the bolt may help. Watch for anything flammable. Carefully spray some pb as it cools.... A butane or propane pencil torch may be good. I know there is some threadlocker on that plug.
