Is there a trick to get the rear disk off of the back of my explorer?? Ive done enough brakes im my lifetime and this is the hardest one yet. Ive used a half a can of wd-40 and beat the piss out of the thing and it wont budge. Any suggestions?

They can be nearly impossible to get off sometimes. first thing is to take off the rubber plug on the back of the dust shield off(near the bottom) there is a small gear there that retracts and tightens the e-brake. on the drivers side rotate it up and the pass side down. keep loosening it untill it wont move. then take a sledge and pound on the back of the rotor. good luck.
after you replace the rotor you have to tighten the ebrake using the same method in reverse untill it comes in contact with the rotor

Make sure your ebrake is off too.
