rear left broke so the handle on the inside pulls out like normal but doesnt open the door, I hate removing door panels so i havent replaced them....Whenever i take a door panel off it breaks
i once broke the inside pass rear handle.. i was pissed off and slammed the door from inside by grabbing the lever... it closed, and the lever broke off in my hand....
Here in PA it was less than 15. I told the guy I need an inside read door handle and He said " For an Exlporer? Oh yeah we always keep plenty of them in stock"
My driver side rear door handle broke from a friend pulling on it too hard while the door was locked...as all of us know, the rear doors cant be opened when the door is locked but other people dont know that so they just try & force it! the plastic teeth on the gear mechanism are what got broken. the guy at the dealer said i could fix it myself so i'll give it a shot
Welcome to the site I believe all you need to do is remove the screws under the fixed handle, then
"unpop" the clips. They sell door panel removers at auto stores for about 5 bucks. You can use a butterknife to start it also. Once you have one part unclipped you can tug the panel off one clip at a time. The plastic clips hold pretty tight, and you may have to pull pretty hard.
