Rear drivers side making Noise?????

So heres an odd one, 98 Eddie I have a squeaking noise coming from my rear drivers side when I back up, but only when I back up. What the heck wouldnt an axle bearing make noise in both dirrections if bad?????

Its a stupid question but thanks guys......

Ok how about an axle seal or rear U-joint............any takers?????

Does it happen if you hit the brakes or is it always present? If it's a disc and has a shield on the inside I'd look in there for a rock.

Wow that never even crossed my mind, I will have to take an gander and get back to you on that one. Its only present when I back up brakes released. Thats an easy fix for sure.
