The rear end code is not in the VIN. See Al's link above to find out what they are.

Robert-If the axle code is not in the VIN,where do you find it? Is it on the tag on the axle housing?Also,does the link that Aldive posts, cover all years of the X's ?

rear end codes are on the sticker on the drivers doorjamb..it says axle code
